I need water

I need warm water.Warm ocean or hot tub.Need.Bare chest, face slipping under water.A poem I wrote on my way towards Peru:Mud faeries and MermenI've missed being a mud faerieeyes above the waterspaces of safetyand the green muck of my being. He would come into the caveas I bubbled beneaththe surface of my fears.Mud monsterstomping and growlingwhile leaving mewhite petals.I close my eyesabove the waterand sink downmuck in my hairinto the waters below, breathe deepopen my gillslook up to white petalssmile and swim away.I am still his mud faerieI will always beas I open my gills and breathe in me.***I try too open my gills tonight but my layers are in the way.
